2010 Halloween Costume Ideas for the Busy Parent
Article Source: HealthSnare.com
Let's face it, when it comes to Halloween, we as parents don't have time to do much except make sure the kids have some kind of costume and we've got enough candy at the door for all the little grave robbers that come to our doors. But while our kids want to be cool and have the best costumes available, we don't want to spend megabucks buying something that'll be worn once, nor do we want to worry about our kids offending the neighbors by having one that's too gruesome or too controversial.
That's where taking the time to make sure we either go with our kids to select their costume, or we supervise what they're getting while shopping online. It's easy enough with just a few mouse clicks to get costumes online now, and going to the mall with friends means peer pressure to get a radical costume that will cause parents to hit the roof. Fortunately, there are lots of Halloween costumes that are still awesomely cool, will fit in a decent budget and that won't make the neighbors call out the Department for Social Services.
For kids Halloween costumes, there are tons of ideas. There are always the classic ghosts and goblins, witches and warlocks and the odd vampire or three. Especially with the Twilight movies making such a hit in theaters, vampires are popular this year. Also, other movie based costumes like those from Avatar and Transformers will be popular as well. Classics like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, Snow White, Cinderella and Strawberry Shortcake will be popular as always, and other classics from Star Wars, Indiana Jones and even the Little Mermaid are popular too.
Pirate costumes are big again this year, and costumes from movies that haven't come out yet are building popularity too. Wonder Woman, Superman and even Supergirl and Iron Man costumes are all the rage. Even Woody and Buzz Lightyear have made a huge comeback with the release of the new Toy Story movie.
When it comes to finding costumes, there are plenty of places to do so, but finding costumes the kids will like and won't cost more than we can afford can be a real challenge. And finding costumes we feel good our kids are wearing can be more challenging still. Explore what costumes are available online at various costume shops and you'll see that you can find exactly what you want, and what your kids want to wear.
