Fluid can leak out in a trickle that triggers irritation because hemorrhoids form at the opening of the anus. This also causes skin irritation and dampness that leads to even more itching.
The more you scratch, the more you itch just like other skin eruptions because of the irritation you cause. Therefore, you will usually just cause itching to get worse when you give into the urge and scratch the area around your hemorrhoids.

In addition to the three most frequent problems linked with hemorrhoids, you could also feel emotional distress, soiling of clothing, burning around the rectum, and irritability.
