Pepper Sprays

I deliver flowers. It pays for expenses I would hate to ask my parents to take care of since they are already paying for my education. The flower shop owner is a family friend and she pays me extra to help tend to the shop.
I have no say exactly as to where I go or don't. If the customer paid for it, then it gets delivered wherever it needs to get delivered. Mostly, deliveries are around the area but I have a pepper spray as a safety precaution.
Occasionally I have to deliver flowers at dawn or dusk when customers have a special request. In these cases I will drive the van to bring the flowers but sometimes when the delivery is close by I will ride my bike.
I would attach the pepper spray t my bike or my jeans when I am out. I used to have one that looked like a pager but no I have one that looks like a ring.
We also keep a pepper spray in the van to make sure that in case of an emergency that we have some form of self defense. The one in the van is a pepper spray like the ones that the police use.
Once, I had to deliver flowers to a residence at 8 PM, by request. I took my bike that time. I don't know what I did wrong but I somehow tripped a home alarm system.
A big dog started chasing me with the flowers in my hand, I had no where to go because my get away car was my bike.
I snatched the pepper spray from my belt and sprayed the poor dog. I had no choice. It was a big dog and it did not look all that friendly. The owners came out after a while and I had to explain everything.
