Initially, one will feel an excruciating pain in the chest area and the pain is immediately felt after one has finished eating and will last for some time. The pain one feels will reach behind the

The throat area will be sore that simply swallowing is hard enough to do because of the stomach acids that have been aspirated in that area. The acids which have passed through the esophagus area irritate the lining of the throat which makes it difficult to swallow. A bitter taste will also be experienced because of the stomach acids that have reached the back of the throat.
Once there is a difficulty in swallowing then the food processed in the mouth will not be easily pass through the throat that is why swallowing it makes it harder than normal. One may also
feel like there is pressure in the chest making it hard to breathe or choking feeling and burning sensation felt. The swallowing part can always be medically checked by a doctor as there are also signs that there are other sicknesses that this can be brought about.
Coughing may also be another symptom of heartburn, when coughing seems to be instantaneous then it may be because of heartburn. In a previous study, forty one percent of continuous cough in nonsmoking individuals is caused by GERD. This happens when the acids are exasperated in the esophagus.
Asthma also is another cause of heartburn, 60 percent of individuals who have asthma have gastroesophageal disease or GERD unlike with the 10 percent of the entire population. Once stomach acids is pushed up in the esophagus and released into the lungs and airways, the wheezing sound is experienced whereby it makes a person difficult to breathe normally.
These are some of the signs or sensations that one may experience to indicate that heartburn is present which you may want to take into consideration. Heartburn sensations can be a nuisance because of its effects to the body and to avoid heartburn from happening there are various ways that one may apply. But these ways may only be effective if one is determined and disciplined enough to live a healthy and fit lifestyle. Heartburn complications may be severe and when this happens, you may want to ask a doctor for the right medications and ways to cure it.
