Other care can include use of a machine that gently stretches the spine to allow the disc to reabsorb the fluid layer.
When seeking care for a disc problem, you should begin with the most conservative treatment. This option allows for more radical treatment later if necessary. The effects of surgery are irreversible and the treatment should be used as a last resort.
A disc herniation can cause great pain. There are many options that may bring you pain relief. Before opting for surgery, you should see if an alternative treatment is more appropriate.
